On the May 21, 2024 episode of WWE NXT, viewers can anticipate the addition of two more contenders for the Women’s North American Championship ladder match, along with a thrilling women’s tag team bout and a match to determine the next top contender.
In a triple threat showdown, Wes Lee, Josh Briggs, and Ivar will vie for the chance to challenge North American Champion Oba Femi at the Battleground 2024 event. This match stems from a recent NXT segment involving all four competitors.
Furthermore, there are two more qualifying matches lined up for the Women’s North American title ladder match. Jaida Parker will square off against Brinley Reece in one of these matches, with Parker recently supporting OTM in their victory over Edris Enofe and Malik Blade, who had Reece in their corner. The other qualifier will witness former friends turned adversaries, Fallon Henley and Thea Hail, facing off for the first time since Henley’s betrayal and attack on Hail.
Additionally, Natalya & Karmen Petrovic will team up to take on Shayna Baszler & Lola Vice in a tag team clash. Baszler previously triumphed over Petrovic in singles competition, while Vice secured a victory against Natalya. After Vice’s recent match on NXT, Natalya and Petrovic launched an assault on Baszler and Vice, leading to the challenge for the upcoming tag team match.
